COSTA MESA, Calif. and DALLAS, Oct. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- FileNet, an IBM Company and a leading provider of Enterprise Content and Business Process Management solutions, and Imagine Solutions, a leading FileNet software and services provider, today announced that Wells Fargo Services has successfully deployed the initial phase of FileNet's Records Manager and Imagine Solutions' Physical Document Manager throughout its organization, streamlining and managing their entire lifecycle of electronic and physical records management.

The joint solution improves Wells Fargo's Technology Information Group's (TIG) capability to manage and track the electronic versions of the documents in conjunction with physical documents. TIG's business goal was to gain control of financial documents -- from the point of creation to the final disposition, with accurate classification and disposition -- and the joint solution provides all the key components required to meet its electronic, physical records and compliance needs, including:

- A single enterprise solution for managing and automating the entire records management lifecycle process - The ability to invisibly and automatically enforce a consistent compliance and records management policy throughout the enterprise - Simple tracking of physical documents as they move from desk to desk during the course of a process

The seamless integration of the FileNet-Imagine solution is helping Wells Fargo employees be more productive while automatically meeting compliance requirements.

"The combination of FileNet and Imagine Solutions met our need for capturing and managing the high volumes of electronic and physical records via a single integrated system," said Lucy Browne, VP, Wells Fargo. "We can now automatically manage the entire lifecycle of our records throughout the enterprise using FileNet's ZeroClick technology and easily track the location of physical records at any level -- boxes, files, or individual documents.

"Our customers realize the advantages of addressing records management -- both electronic and digital -- from an integrated, enterprise perspective," said Martyn Christian, vice president, content management marketing for FileNet. "The fact that Wells Fargo chose our integrated solution confirms the enterprise strength of FileNet's compliance platform and the added value of applications provided by our partner, Imagine Solutions."

"FileNet's P8 platform and its award winning Records Manager provide the ideal foundation for our Physical Document Manager. We are truly excited to have built this type of solution in today's compliance driven environment," said Rick Smith, CEO of Imagine Solutions.

FileNet P8 is a reliable, scalable and highly available enterprise platform that enables its customers to capture, store, manage, secure and process information to increase operational efficiency and lower total cost of ownership. FileNet Records Manager uniquely combines content, process and connectivity to automate and streamline all records-based activities, minimizing burdensome end-user participation, enforcing compliance, and creating business advantage through a compelling return on investment. FileNet's ZeroClick technology is designed to enforce records management policies at the technology layer, minimizing user-related error, addressing time and cost factors and promoting best-practice records management.
