AOL Launches ‘Summer Grilling’ Program with Stacy’s Pita Chips
AOL announced the launch of a summer-long program called "Summer Grilling” with Stacy’s Pita Chips, which will feature customized content on AOL Food that integrates Stacy’s Pita Chips products. AOL Food, http://food.aol.com, reaches approximately six million unique visitors domestically a month, according to the April comScore Media Metrix report.
The "Sweet and Savory” customized editorial gallery consists of easy-to-make recipes that feature Stacy’s Pita Chips. The Grilling and BBQ 101 coverage will feature advice from experts like Emeril Lagasse, Flavor & Fire's Gena Knox and Weber's Jamie Purviance. From lighting the coals and choosing the right equipment to making mouthwatering marinades, classic sides and bodacious burgers, every type of summer fare will be covered. The "Summer Grilling” program is the result of a partnership between AOL’s advertising and publishing divisions and Stacy’s Pita Chips.
"This program shows how AOL can provide marketers with access to targeted audiences in a natural and engaging way by leveraging our publishing skills, our tremendous audience reach, and our unmatched ad capabilities,” said Mark Ellis, executive vice president of Platform-A, which is AOL’s advertising unit. "By showcasing the Stacy’s Chips gallery on AOL Food, we’re providing Stacy’s Pita Chips exposure to the exact audience they need to reach with engaging content and advice from our staff of professional food experts.”
"Working with AOL has given us a new and creative method to target our audience in a way that is a natural fit for our brand,” said Michelle Rule, director, marketing, Frito-Lay North America. "This customized Stacy’s Pita Chip campaign is timely given the popularity of our product during the summer months. It’s the perfect food for those summer gatherings.”
AOL Food senior editor and Slashfood blogger Kat Kinsman will contribute to the program, along with several other AOL Food experts, who will offer recipes with customized shopping lists, grilling tips and techniques for passion pit enthusiasts, and more.
AOL Food is a part of AOL’s publishing unit, MediaGlow, http://www.mediaglow.com. MediaGlow sites, which include AOL News, AOL Money & Finance, AOL Living, FanHouse and dozens of other sites, reach more than 76 million unique visitors, according to April comScore.
