Exelon Names Joyce Carson Vice President, Investor Relations

Exelon today announced that Joyce Carson, 38, has beenappointed vice president, investor relations. Carson will assume therole effective Jan. 1, 2006.

Carson is currently vice president of support services for ExelonBusiness Services Company, overseeing a variety of shared services,including the employee service center, which administers Exelon'semployee benefits programs; payroll services; accounts payable; mediaservices; and events planning.

Carson will replace Michael Metzner, who was recently namedExelon's treasurer.

"Joyce has a strong financial background and a demonstrated trackrecord at Exelon," said Metzner. "She has the analytical andcommunication skills to effectively convey Exelon's value propositionto the investment community."

Carson joined the company in 1997 and held a variety of positionswith increasing responsibility in accounting and finance. She wasdirector of finance in treasury from June 2002 to March 2004. She alsoserved as the finance lead on the ComEd team that is working on issuesrelated to Illinois' transition to a fully deregulated energy marketafter 2006.

Prior to joining Exelon, she held finance positions at Jane AddamsHull House Association. Carson also has six years of internal andexternal audit experience with American Stores Company and Deloitteand Touche.

She has been a member of the board of Chicago House for more thanten years. During that time, she spent seven years serving astreasurer. Carson holds bachelor's and master's degrees in accountancyfrom DePaul University in Chicago.

Carson will report to Metzner.
