"Dancing with The Stars” Celebs Guest Star in New Ballas Hough Video

Ballas Hough co-frontman Derek Hough has filmed a video for "Do You Love Me,” one of the new songs from the band’s Hollywood Records’ debut, BHB. The video, which debuted on Monday on MSN, is quickly becoming an internet sensation and is already is the most viewed video overall on MSN TV for the month of April. The video features guest appearances from Hough’s Dancing with The Stars cast mates, as well as celebrities that have appeared on the show. The fun and quirky clip features folks such as Lil’ Kim, Rascal Flatts, Jewel, Boyz II Men, Steve-O, Kim Kardashian and Denise Richards, among others, all lip-synching along to "Do You Love Me” around the set of the hit ABC-TV show Dancing With The Stars. In addition to performing with his band, Hough is a professional dancer and the show’s reigning champ. This season he’s teamed with Grammy Award-winning rapper Lil’ Kim.

About the video, Hough says, "I was lucky enough to have access to all these great people and was surprised at how willing they were to sing. I approached them all one by one, held my iPod in my left hand so that they could hear the song and learn the lyrics, while holding the camera in my right. I could only shoot on Mondays and Tuesdays, ‘cause that’s when the show tapes, but still managed to get almost everyone I wanted. I think it turned out amazing—it’s lighthearted and fun and shows people another side of the ‘Dancing’ clan. Some of the coolest moments happened when I approached Rascal Flatts and Boyz II Men and both agreed to participate. They’re both so incredibly talented.”

Hough will be making a music video guest appearance of his own by co-starring in "99 Times,” the new clip from Interscope/MySpace recording artist Kate Voegele. The video will be shot in Los Angeles with director Frank Borin (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Duran Duran, Eminem).

In other band news, the Ballas Hough Band continue their residency at The Grove in Los Angeles. The free shows are every Tuesday night at 8:00pm through May 12.

Though best known for their dancing prowess, Mark and Derek have been writing and playing music together for 10 years, ever since they both attended a London performing arts school together as teens. While they continued developing their music, the two found lasting fame as professional dancers on "Dancing with the Stars," which routinely draws 18 million viewers per episode. Derek’s latest win, with partner Brooke Burke, marked back-to-back victories for both dancers, with Mark winning the previous season along with his partner, skater Kristi Yamaguchi.
