August A. Busch IV Honored by the Larry King Cardiac Foundation
ST. LOUIS, March 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- August A. Busch IV, president of Anheuser-Busch, Inc., has received the distinguished Gerald S. Snyder Heart Award from the Larry King Cardiac Foundation. The award honors individuals for their commitment, leadership and compassion in improving the lives and enriching the spirits of patients and families battling heart disease.

"The Larry King Cardiac Foundation potentially saves lives everyday by providing critical heart care to patients who otherwise could not afford it," said Busch. "It is an honor to be associated with Larry and this fine organization."
Dan Snyder, owner of the Washington Redskins and gala dinner chair of the annual fund-raising event, "An Evening with Larry King and Friends," presented the award to Busch at the event March 11 in Washington, D.C. The award is named in honor of Snyder's father, who died from heart disease in 2003.
Previous recipients of the Gerald S. Snyder Heart Award include J.W. Marriott, Jr., chairman and chief executive officer of Marriott International, Inc.; Sumner Redstone, chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Viacom, Inc.; Donald Trump, chairman and president of The Trump Organization; and Frederick W. Smith, chairman, president and chief executive officer of FedEx Corporation.
The Larry King Cardiac Foundation has funded more than 100 surgeries and procedures for men, women and children who otherwise could not have afforded to have their cardiac procedures performed.
