3M Announces Executive Appointments

    ST. PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 14, 2005--3M today announced the following executive appointments for Enterprise Services and the Safety, Security and Protection Services Business, effective Jan. 1, 2005:
    Dr. Frederick J. Palensky, executive vice president, Safety, Security and Protection Services Business has been named executive vice president, Enterprise Services, a newly created unit encompassing Information Technology; Environmental, Health and Safety Operations; Government Markets; and Administrative Services.
    Jean Lobey, managing director, 3M Brazil, has been named executive vice president, Safety, Security and Protection Services Business, succeeding Palensky.
