State Street's Joseph Antonellis Honored as Premier 100 IT Leader by

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 5, 2005--State Street Corporation (NYSE: STT), the world's leading provider of services to institutional investors, announced today that Joseph Antonellis, chief information officer, has been named a Computerworld Premier 100 IT Leader for 2005. Antonellis was selected from a pool of more than 600 candidates and will join fellow honorees at the 6th annual Premier 100 IT Leaders Conference March 6-8 at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Antonellis oversees information technology at State Street, including the development and implementation of the global technology architecture to support large-scale transaction processing, product capabilities, and investment strategies for State Street's clients worldwide. He is also head of Wealth Manager Services and Securities Services for State Street worldwide. Antonellis joined State Street in 1991 and has held a number of leadership positions at the company, including head of Master Trust and executive vice president and head of State Street's Institutional Investor Services.
