Huge Sales Coming For Amazon Prime Day

(RTTNews) - Online retail giant Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN) will launch its second-annual Prime Day on Tuesday, July 12, the summer sale exclusively for Prime members which will bring more than 100,000 deals worldwide.

The company says that the second annual Prime Day will be its "biggest Amazon event ever."

Last year, Amazon reported it sold more units on Prime Day than the biggest Black Friday ever, with customers ordering 34.4 million items across Prime-eligible countries, about 398 items ordered per second.

To take advantage of the Prime Day deals, you'll need to be a Prime member or sign up for Amazon's service before July 12. New and existing members in U.S., U.K., Spain, Japan, Italy, Germany, France, Canada, Belgium, and Austria, will find deals across nearly all departments and categories.

Prime membership, a $99-per-year premium service, offers Amazon customers free two-day shipping and allows free streaming movies and TV shows.
