Devon Energy Names Robert A. Myers Senior Vice President, Human Resources

OKLAHOMA CITY, March 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Devon Energy Corporation announced today that Robert A. Myers (48) will be joining Devon as senior vice president, human resources. As a senior vice president, Myers will serve on the company's executive committee. He will report to Devon's president, John Richels.

"By creating a senior executive position focused solely on the human resources area, we are reinforcing the vital role that recruitment, retention and development of our employees plays in Devon's continued success," said Richels. "Bob Myers has proven himself as a creative human resources leader and we welcome him and his talents to Devon's management team."

Myers joins Devon with more than 25 years experience in human resources within a broad array of industries including consumer products, retail, financial services and oilfield products. Most recently, Myers was senior vice president and chief human resources officer for Reebok International Ltd.

Myers earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He currently serves as chairman of the board of directors of the Human Resources Planning Society.
