Cummins Announces KTA50 SCR Power Module; KTA50 Brings New Power for Land-Based and Offshore Drilling
Cummins product offers low total cost of ownership (TCO) with alow initial investment, low operating costs and reduced maintenancecosts. The 1571-kVA / 600-volt Power Unit consists of a Cummins KTA50engine, rated 1470 hp (1096 kW) at 1200 rpm, which is fully integratedwith a Cummins AVK DSG86L1-6 generator and is ideal for thedurability, reliability and power density requirements of SCR PowerModules. The KTA50 fuel costs are expected to be 3%-5% lower thancompetitive products, and with a track record of over 50,000industrial applications worldwide, proven reliability is assured everytime.

The KTA50 engine is backed by Cummins industry-leading MobileQuickServe(R) program. Cummins QuickServe offers factory-certifiedtechnicians, the most sophisticated diagnostic and repair tools in theindustry, and the largest international parts and service network ofany engine manufacturer.
Cummins will also offer the KTA50 engine separately from the SCRModule to provide drill owners the ability to take advantage of thelower TCO of the KTA50 while coupling with the generator of theirchoice.
