Clear Channel Radio Now Offering Digital Broadcasts on 65 of Its Radio Stations

    SAN ANTONIO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 5, 2005--Clear Channel Communications Inc. (NYSE:CCU)

    -- 95 Percent of Stations in Top 100 Markets Will Be Doing Same
    Within Three Years

    Clear Channel Radio today announced that 65 of its radio stations are now airing digital radio broadcasts, using iBiquity Digital Corporation's HD Radio(TM) technology. Earlier this year, Clear Channel Radio announced its Advanced Technology Initiative, which includes an aggressive conversion to HD Radio(TM) on 1,000 of its stations over the next three years. Clear Channel Radio's accelerated rollout of digital radio will provide more advanced services for radio listeners and advertisers.
