COLOMBIA: Coffee Output Rises 5% In April From A Year Before

(RTTNews) - The Colombian coffee output grew 5% in April from a year before, from 834,000 to 874,000 bags. Each bag holds 60 kilos of coffee. In the 12 months ended in April, the coffee output fell 3% to 14 million bags.

So far in 2018, Colombia's coffee output is 4% down from the same period last year, at 4.3 million bags.

Coffee exports in April were 3% higher on an annual basis, totaling 921,000 bags, while in 12 months the exports fell 1% to 12.8 million bags. From January to April, Colombia shipped 4.2 million bags of coffee, 3% less than in the same period in 2017.
