UPS Names New District Executive

Mark Kemper, a 30-year veteran of UPS (NYSE:UPS), has been named the vice president of operations for the company’s Metro Jersey District.

In his new role, Kemper is assuming leadership of a UPS district that was expanded significantly in a recent realignment of domestic operations. He will be responsible for almost 10,000 employees in 10 facilities in an area that stretches across all or parts of Bergen, Passaic, Essex, Sussex, Warren, Hudson, Union, Morris, Hunterdon, Monmouth and Middlesex counties as well as the borough of Staten Island and Rockland County, N.Y.

Kemper most recently managed UPS’s Alabama District. Prior to that assignment in 2007, he served as region operations manager on the staff of the UPS East Central Region.

Kemper began his UPS career in 1979 as a package handler in Lansing, Mich. Since then, Kemper has held various assignments throughout UPS’s domestic operations.
