Texas School of Business - Houston North Campus Hosts Graduation for 126 Students Friday Evening in Houston
HOUSTON, July 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Texas School of Business - Houston North campus today announced it will host graduation ceremonies this evening for its summer 2006 class. The commencement will take place at 7:00 p.m. at 713 East Airtex Drive in Houston. Mr. Irvin Ashford, Vice President of Comerica Bank, will keynote the graduation ceremony.
"It will be a proud moment for the graduates, their families and friends," said Sheila Grover, Director of Education at Texas School of Business - Houston North campus. "We are honored to have Mr. Ashford as our speaker. With the long background he has in our business community, we know our grads will be inspired."
Texas School of Business will graduate 126 students from six diploma programs including Accounting Specialist, Computer Business Systems, Dental Assistant, Medical Assistant, Medical Office Specialist and Pharmacy Technician.
Medical Assistants and Dental Assistants are among the fastest-growing occupations in the state of Texas. Opportunities for Medical Assistants are expected to increase by 62.3 percent and 42 percent for Dental Assistants between 2002 and 2012, according to the Texas Workforce Commission's 2004 report, Texas Long-term Occupational Projections. Additionally, Texas School of Business recently added an Electrician program in December of 2005 to address the local need for entry-level positions in the electrician field.
