Tektronix HD Technology Ensures Quality Control at On Sight

BEAVERTON, Ore., Feb. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Tektronix, Inc. , a leading worldwide provider of test, measurement and monitoring solutions announced today that On Sight, London's premier High Definition (HD) hire company, has chosen the Tektronix' WVR7100 SD/HD Rasterizer, designed to simplify the quality checking of equipment and HD content.

As HD video production continues to gather momentum in Europe, so too does the need for HD-capable kits to accurately assess quality of content and adherence to specifications. On Sight has consistently led the way in the adoption of HD technology and has now added Tektronix's new WVR7100 SD/HD Rasterizer. This means that On Sight can offer a hybrid service capable of monitoring HD, SD and analogue composite video, plus analogue and digital audio, from a single compact product with versatile displays.

The WVR7100 is an all-digital monitoring product that offers unrivaled accuracy and stability. With its FlexVu(TM) display, customers can uniquely configure the product to display waveform, vector, gamut, picture, alarm screens, error log, audio signal levels and lissajous curves in four different tiles. Moreover, the WVR7100 is the only SD/HD Rasterizer with Tektronix-patented gamut displays (diamond, split diamond and arrowhead) that ensure that the broadcast material meets gamut compliance in the component and composite colour spaces.

On Sight was among the first to acquire Tektronix' WFM700M SD/HD waveform monitor to provide the monitoring and measurement capabilities needed in their multi-format facility. The products provide complementary capabilities in mixed environments.
