Symantec Security Expert to Present at RSA Conference Power Days

Szor's first presentation is scheduled for 11:15 a.m. - 12:05 p.m.CDT, Tuesday, Sept. 13, at the Rosemont Conference Center in Chicago.His second presentation is scheduled for 11:15 a.m. - 12:05 p.m. EDT,Thursday, Sept. 15, at the Marriott Marquis Times Square in New YorkCity. Both presentations will focus on malicious code and analysistechniques to help security personnel gain a better understanding fordeploying defenses against increasingly complex threats.

Szor's presentations will be based on his book, "The Art ofComputer Virus Research and Defense," (Addison-Wesley, ISBN0-321-30454-3, $49.99), which was published by Symantec Press and isavailable at www.ses.symantec.com/symantecpress.

As a security architect with Symantec Response, Szor designs anddevelops anti-virus technologies for the Norton AntiVirus productline. He joined Symantec in 1999 and is the author of several U.S.patents that are pending.
