Southwest Airlines : Technology Issues Delay Some Flights

(RTTNews) - Southwest Airlines Co. (LUV) said Sunday that it is experiencing intermittent technology issues on its website, the Southwest Mobile app, and in reservations centers and airports across its system today which are impacting future bookings and are requiring the Airline to process Customers manually as they arrive for travel. So far, about 300 flights have been delayed in departing, out of approximately 3600 flights scheduled to operate today.

The Airline is asking Customers to arrive at least two hours prior to their scheduled departures to help minimize delays.

"While teams work diligently to enhance the performance of our technology, our airport-based Employees are working with Customers on their individual itineraries and we apologize for the extra effort and delayed arrival of passengers and their baggage," Southwest Airlines said.
