Sara Lee Branded Apparel Americas/Asia Names E. Lee Wyatt Jr. Chief Financial Officer

In February 2005, Sara Lee Corporation announced its intent tospin off its apparel operations. In assuming the CFO position, Wyatt,52, will be responsible for many of the new roles that Sara LeeBranded Apparel Americas/Asia will be required to have as anindependent, publicly held company. He will report to Lee Chaden,chief executive officer.

"We are extremely pleased to have a leader of Lee's caliber joinour team," Chaden said. "He brings tremendous experience in managingfinance, treasury, tax and strategic planning functions as well aslegal, human resources and IT functions. The depth and breadth of hisbackground, including senior positions in two publicly held companies,will be of great value to us as we establish functions to becomeindependent in 2006."

With 30 years of financial experience, Wyatt joins Sara LeeBranded Apparel from Sonic Automotive, Inc., in Charlotte, N.C., wherehe was executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurerof that publicly traded Fortune 300 company. Previously, he had servedas vice president of administration and chief financial officer ofSealy Corporation and senior vice president of finance andadministration at Brown Shoe Company. He also spent seven years atDeloitte Haskins & Sells, initially as an auditor and later in taxplanning.

Wyatt earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from SouthernIllinois University in Carbondale, Ill., and a master of businessadministration degree from Washington University in St. Louis.

Sara Lee Branded Apparel is currently a part of Sara LeeCorporation, which in February 2005 announced a transformation of itsbusiness portfolio to focus on food, beverage and household products.At that time, Sara Lee announced its intent to spin off as anindependent, publicly held company its Americas/Asia apparel business,Sara Lee Branded Apparel, a move that is expected to be completedbetween July and September 2006.
