Progressive Corp. Q3 Profit Retreats 6%

(RTTNews) - Progressive Corp. (PGR) released earnings for third quarter that retreated compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line dropped to $278.3 million, or $0.47 per share. This was down from $296.1 million, or $0.50 per share, in last year's third quarter.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 14.4% to $5.41 billion. This was up from $4.73 billion last year.
