Newell Rubbermaid Inc. (NWL) is rising 3 percent to $30.00. The company's third quarter profit and revenues were higher than in the same period a year earlier. The company confirmed its guidance for core sales growth, normalized operating margin, normalized per-share earnings for 2013. The company announced it has reached a definitive agreement to sell and transfer control of its European education properties to private equity firm Apax Partners.
