Microsoft Corporation Announces 13% Increase In Q3 Bottom Line

(RTTNews) - Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) reported a profit for its third quarter that advanced from last year.

The company said its bottom line totaled $5.72 billion, or $0.73 per share. This was higher than $5.04 billion, or $0.63 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.70 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 6.3% to $23.56 billion. This was up from $22.16 billion last year.
