Johnson & Johnson Reveals 12% Increase In Q3 Bottom Line

(RTTNews) - Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) reported a profit for its third quarter that advanced from last year.

The company said its bottom line totaled $4.68 billion, or $1.68 per share. This was higher than $4.17 billion, or $1.49 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.65 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 4.2% to $17.82 billion. This was up from $17.10 billion last year.
