Great Lakes Gas Transmission Announces Seamless Chicago-Dawn Service for Multiple Winters

TROY, Mich., May 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Great Lakes Gas Transmission Limited Partnership (Great Lakes) today announces the availability of a natural gas transportation service that will allow shippers to obtain "hub to hub" transportation service during upcoming winter seasons between Chicago, Illinois and Dawn, Ontario, Canada. Great Lakes will use its FERC authorization to obtain available off-system capacity together with capacity available on its own system, to provide this service seamlessly.

Approximately 200,000 Dths/day of capacity is available for the period commencing November 1, 2005 and continuing through March 31, 2006. Service can also be structured for future winters in multiple-year packages. Current pricing is 9.3 cents/dekatherm/day reservation plus 4.7 cents of utilization fees, in addition to fuel and surcharges. Assuming fuel gas costs of $7.50/Dth, the total transportation cost between Chicago & Dawn would be 31 cents/Dth.

Primary receipt points available within the ANR Pipeline Company Joliet Hub include interconnects with Alliance, Natural Gas Pipeline, Northern Border and Midwestern. Potential primary delivery points on Great Lakes include Chippewa (Consumers Energy) and Belle River (MichCon), in addition to Dawn (Union Gas).
