Fujifilm Introduces Photo Specialty Printing Solution For Pro and Commercial Photo Labs Featuring Xerox's DocuColor 240/250
FUJIFILM U.S.A., Inc. and Xerox Corporation (NYSE:XRX) have aligned
their expertise to provide professional and commercial photo labs a
complete photo printing solution to take advantage of the growing market
for specialty photo products. Items that can be printed include photo
books, photo calendars, greeting cards, as well as posters, trading
cards, fun packs and a host of other specialty printed products that
employ double-sided printing, binding and finishing. The new photo print
solution will be offered by Fujifilm and will include Fujifilm’s
digital photo products and Xerox’s DocuColor®
240 and 250 Digital Color Printers.
"From a quality standpoint, the Xerox
DocuColor 240/250 color printer was the only product on the market that
could meet the high standards of our pro and commercial lab customers,”
said John Meyer, vice president, Commercial Marketing, FUJIFILM U.S.A.,
Inc. "With this solution, Fujifilm is helping
our customers increase revenue with an expanding product line and
excellent quality.”
The Xerox DocuColor 240/250 printer features include:
Speeds up to 50 ppm color and 65 ppm monochrome
Impressive image quality at 2400 x 2400 dpi
First copy in 4.3 seconds for monochrome and 7.8 seconds for color
Capable of printing on a wide range of substrates, up to 110 lb
cover/300 g/m
Can handle jobs as small as postcards all the way up to 13 x 19
Optional finisher that punches, folds, staples, and makes signature
booklets
"This solution builds on a very long-standing
relationship between Fujifilm and Xerox. As consumer demand for
specialty photo products grows, it’s only
natural that leaders in the professional photography and digital
printing markets combine efforts,” said
Quincy Allen, president, Xerox Production Systems Group. "This
photo print solution will help consumers push their memories beyond a
simple digital photograph to a high-quality, professional keepsake, and
Fujifilm is the right channel to reach this marketplace.”
At PMA 2007, Fujifilm will demonstrate the Xerox DocuColor 240/250,
showing specialty photo product samples and the workflow, materials and
equipment needed to produce the photo products.
