Emerson Process Management, an Emerson business (NYSE:EMR), has been voted the best supplier of process management technologies and services in CONTROL Magazine's Annual Readers' Choice Awards. For 12 years, Emerson has dominated the awards by consistently winning the most product and services categories, including the coveted "best process control automation system" for four consecutive years.
Emerson was acknowledged for delivering the best in customer service, receiving high marks for excellence in 38 service categories, more than three times the nearest competitor in relevant categories.
Emerson products and software received 28 first place awards, more than nine times the nearest competitor in relevant categories, and placed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in a total of 41 categories, more than three times the nearest competitor.
Emerson technologies and services recognized by CONTROL readers power the company's industry-leading PlantWeb(R) digital plant architecture -- an open, standards-based digital automation solution that improves operating efficiency by delivering asset management, process automation and management execution. PlantWeb enables manufacturers to avoid costly, unexpected downtime by establishing a predictive maintenance environment, anchored by smart field devices that digitally monitor instrumentation and equipment condition.
"Our readers base their choices on first-hand experience with how these products function in the plant environment and the level of service they receive from suppliers," said CONTROL Editor-in-Chief Walt Boyes. "They clearly believe that Emerson is committed to delivering outstanding customer service and to providing quality products."
Emerson's sweep of first place wins includes: Emerson DeltaV(TM) digital automation systems, Emerson AMS(TM) Suite software; Fisher(R) control valves, float/displacer level gauges and pneumatic valve actuators; Brooks positive displacement and variable area flowmeters; Daniel(R) turbine flowmeters; Micro Motion(R) Coriolis mass flowmeters and density/concentration analyzers; Rosemount(R), pressure and temperature transmitters, flowmeters and level gauges; and Rosemount(R) Analytical ph/ORP/conductivity and stack gas analyzers.
"The CONTROL awards are special, because they're voted on by process automation users, and give clear, positive feedback that Emerson is meeting real needs with our products and services," said John Berra, president of Emerson Process Management. "We are never standing still. Rather, we're always listening to our customer needs, anticipating future requirements, introducing new product offerings and improving our service capabilities."
