Dr. Michael Reardon Named CIGNA HealthCare National Medical Executive, Sales and Well Aware

JERSEY CITY, N.J., May 25, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Michael Reardon, M.D. is joining CIGNA HealthCare as national medical executive, sales and Well Aware. In this role, Dr. Reardon is the medical lead for CIGNA's tri-state health benefits plans, which cover some of the nation's largest employers in metropolitan New York, New Jersey and Southern Connecticut. He will also manage the national sales team for the company's award-winning CIGNA Well Aware for Better Health(SM) disease management programs.

Dr. Reardon rejoins the company from Aetna, where he served as national medical director for disease management and women's health between 2002 and 2005. Previously he was CIGNA HealthCare's regional medical executive for the tri-state region, where he led best-in-class clinical programs for the region. Prior to CIGNA, Dr. Reardon served in a variety of consulting, corporate development and clinical roles.

Dr. Reardon holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from State University of New York Health Science Center and he received a bachelor's degree from Adelphi University.
