CSR Plans for Future with the Opening of CSR SARL a Hardware Design Centre in France

CSR plc (LSE:CSR) today marked the next step of its worldwideexpansion with the official opening of a wireless hardware designcentre in Sophia Antipolis, France. CSR SARL is headed by the designgroup leader Stephane Boudaud and will employ a team of experienceddesign engineers to work on hardware projects including the design ofUWB (Ultra Wide Band) radios.
"We have been planning and working on a very high speed version ofBluetooth for some time now, and the recent announcement by theBluetooth SIG that UWB will be added as a higher speed option is verywelcome and fits perfectly with the investment we are making in SophiaAntipolis," commented James Collier, technical director and co-founderof CSR.
"Sophia Antipolis is the ideal location for CSR SARL given itsconcentration of advanced technology companies which attract a highlyskilled workforce," explained Stephane Boudaud, design group leader ofCSR SARL. Since January 2005, CSR has opened a design centre in Lund, Swedenand integrated sites in Detroit, USA, Shenzhen, China and Bangalore,India through its acquisitions of Clarity Technologies Inc and, morerecently, UbiNetics' software business.

In March 2005, CSR acquired Clarity Technologies Inc., for itsClear Voice Capture (CVC) technology that enhances the audioperformance of any voice-based product or system. Applications for CVCinclude wireless headsets, handsets and automotive hands free systems.
