Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc. Board Elects Phoebe A. Wood as Director

Coca-Cola Enterprises (NYSE: CCE) today announced the Company’s board of directors has elected Phoebe A. Wood as director, effective April 22.

Ms. Wood, 56, has more than 30 years of international finance and operations management experience, and serves as Principal of CompaniesWood, a consulting firm that specializes in early stage investments. She is the former Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer of Brown-Forman Corporation in Louisville, Ky., where she served as a member of the company’s executive, corporate strategy, and compensation and benefits committees. Ms. Wood previously held financial management roles with Motorola (Propel) Corporation and Atlantic Richfield Company.

Ms. Wood will serve on the Affiliated Transaction and Audit Committees of CCE’s board of directors, and will be up for re-election at the company’s Annual Meeting of Shareowners on April 23, 2010.

"Phoebe’s experiences leading financial operations for an international beverage company, along with her directorships at consumer goods, manufacturing, and investment management companies, will provide tremendous value to our board of directors,” said John F. Brock, chairman and chief executive officer, Coca-Cola Enterprises. Ms. Wood currently serves on the boards of directors of Leggett & Platt, Inc., a diversified manufacturer of engineered components supplied to the consumer durables, automotive and commercial industries, and Invesco Ltd, a global investment management company. She also serves as a trustee for Smith College in Northampton, Mass., and the University of Louisville. Previously, she was a director for Oshkosh B’Gosh, Inc., where she was chairman of the company’s audit committee and a member of its compensation committee. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Smith College, and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.
