    Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:CTXS), the global leader in access infrastructure solutions, today announced the launch of Citrix(R) Access Suite 4.0, an integrated business access solution that enables on-demand access to any information resource for any authorized user, with any device, over any network connection, while reducing operating expenses, improving information security, and increasing business agility. Access Suite 4.0 includes the flagship Citrix Presentation Server(TM) 4.0, Citrix Password Manager(TM) 4.0 and the new Citrix Access Gateway(TM) 4.0, a universal SSL VPN solution for both data and voice applications.
    With this launch, the company also introduces Citrix SmartAccess technology, a sense-and-respond capability that delivers constantly optimized access for users while rigorously protecting the security of corporate information. SmartAccess instantly senses and dynamically responds to different work scenarios with tailored access and security controls. The Citrix Access Suite 4.0 is designed for enterprises of all sizes and is the foundation of the Citrix Access Platform.

    Citrix Access Gateway 4.0

    Citrix Access Gateway is a universal SSL VPN appliance that provides a secure, always-on, single point-of-access to any information resource. It combines the best features of IPSec and typical SSL VPNs - without the costly and cumbersome implementation and management - to make access easy for users, secure for the company, and low-cost for IT administrators. Access Gateway is the only universal SSL VPN to offer Advanced Access Control for IT administrators to manage not only what can be accessed, but also what actions are permitted after access is granted, based on the user's role, location, type of device, configuration of device, and connection.
    The Access Gateway works through any firewall and supports all applications and protocols, including IP telephony. --	Citrix Access Suite 4.0, Step-Up Edition - For customers that have already implemented Presentation Server and want to extend their access platform with a SSL VPN and enterprise single sign-on solutions; this package includes Access Gateway and Password Manager, and has a suggested retail price of $229 per concurrent user. It will be available in the second quarter of 2005.
