Cisco Systems Inc. Bottom Line Rises 3% In Q3

(RTTNews) - Cisco Systems Inc. (CSCO) announced a profit for its third quarter that climbed compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $2.88 billion, or $0.57 per share. This was higher than $2.80 billion, or $0.54 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.55 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 1.2% to $12.00 billion. This was down from $12.14 billion last year.
