China-based 21Vianet Group Slips To Loss In Q4

(RTTNews) - China-based 21Vianet Group Inc. (VNET) reported third-quarter net loss attributable to ordinary shareholders of 4.3 million renminbi, or US$0.7million. This compares with a net profit of 42.7 million renminbi last year.

On a per share American Depositary Share, or ADS basis, net loss for the quarter was 0.06 renminbi, or US$0.01. This compares with net earnings of 0.72 renminbi per ADS last year.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the quarter were 41.0 million renminbi, or US$6.8 million, compared with 39.5 million renminbi in the prior year. On a per ADS basis, adjusted earnings were 0.60 renminbi, or US$0.10. This compares with adjusted earnings of 0.66 renminbi per ADS a year ago.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.07 per ADS for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Net revenue for the quarter grew 30.6% to 545.9 million renminbi, or $90.2 million, up from 417.8 million renminbi last year. Analysts estimated revenue of $88.77 million.

For the first quarter, the company expects net revenues of 575 million renminbi (US$95 million) to 590 million renminbi (US$98 million). Analysts estimate revenue of $88.77 million.
