CDW-G to Support Upgrades That Deliver on Troy University's Mission to
    Provide Cutting-Edge Technology to Students and Faculty

    CDW Government, Inc. (CDW-G) - a wholly owned subsidiary of CDW Corporation (NASDAQ:CDWC) and leading source of information technology (IT) solutions to governments and educators - today announced it has been awarded a one-year competitively bid contract to provide IT products and services to Troy University in Troy, Alabama. The contract enables Troy, the second-largest public university in Alabama, to purchase any product from CDW-G's catalog, which includes more than 100,000 products from leading technology companies.
    As higher education institutions continue to rely upon IT to facilitate learning and improve efficiency on campus, Troy University is committed to streamlining technology acquisition and implementation. It recently consolidated its various campuses' purchasing systems into one centralized system to leverage its collective purchasing power and improve internal efficiency. The university sought a partner that could help it select the most appropriate IT products and services for its unique needs. It selected CDW-G due to the company's breadth of product line, as well as the quality and speed of its customer service.
    In addition, CDW-G and Troy University are collaborating to standardize many technology products across the entire university system, including IBM notebooks, desktops and servers; Hewlett-Packard printers; InFocus projectors; ViewSonic monitors and Cisco infrastructure products. The partners have begun to refresh more than 6,000 PCs and update antivirus software on more than 3,000 systems across the university's campuses.

    The one-year contract has a potential value of $3 million and a two-year extension option. Moreover, Troy University has secure access to a variety of services on CDW-G's extranet, which provides customized account information on installed items and price quotes. Through the extranet, Troy University can track its orders, manage asset-tagged hardware and order configured products directly - providing real-time visibility into, and control over, the purchasing process.
