BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 15, 2005--As the standard for Linux data protection, BakBone Software(TM) (TSX:BKB)(OTCBB:BKBOE) today announced general availability of NetVault enterprise data protection software with support for Red Hat (Nasdaq:RHAT) Enterprise Linux, version 4. BakBone continues to embrace a first-to-market approach to Linux operating system and platform support and leads the backup and restore market in being the only vendor to support all major Linux distributions worldwide.
Introduced this week at LinuxWorld in Boston, Mass., NetVault support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux version 4 on Intel x86 platforms is currently available, with additional Red Hat Enterprise Linux version 4 ports for IBM PowerPC, Itanium and Opteron rolling out over the next quarter.
