AT&T Q1 Revenues Top Street, Backs FY25 Outlook; Stock Up In Pre-market - Update

(RTTNews) - Telecom giant AT&T, Inc. (T), while reporting higher first-quarter results, on Wednesday maintained its fiscal 2025 outlook, below market. In the quarter, earnings missed market estimates, while revenues topped the view.

In the pre-market activity on the NYSE, AT&T shares were gaining around 4.6 percent to trade at $28.19.

Looking ahead to fiscal 2025, the company continues to project adjusted earnings in a range of $1.97 to $2.07 per share on consolidated service revenue growth in the low-single-digit range.

The Wall Street analysts on average expect the company to report earnings of $2.09 per share. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Adjusted EBITDA growth is expected to be 3 percent or better. The company projects mobility service revenue growth in the higher end of the 2 percent to 3 percent range, and Consumer fiber broadband revenue growth in the mid-teens.

Additionally, the company continues to expect the sale of its entire 70 percent stake in DIRECTV to TPG to close in mid-2025.

The company's bottom line came in at $4.395 billion or $0.61 per share, compared with $3.395 billion or $0.47 per share last year.

Adjusted earnings were $0.51 per share for the period, compared to $0.48 per share a year ago. The Street was looking for earnings of $0.52 per share.

The company's revenue for the period rose 2.0 percent to $30.63 billion from $30.03 billion last year. Analysts expected revenues of $30.36 billion.
