AmeriCredit Recognizes Manheim's Tennessee Auto Auction as 2005 Auction of the Year

AmeriCredit Corp. (NYSE:ACF) has named Manheim'sTennessee Auto Auction in Nashville, Tenn., as its 2005 Auction of theYear as part of the nationwide Auction of Excellence program. Theauction also received the 2004 Auction of the Year award fromAmeriCredit.

"We are excited to announce Tennessee Auto Auction as thetop-performing auction of the year -- for the second year in a row,"said Gayle Pavlicek, senior vice president of Asset Remarketing atAmeriCredit. "Once again, the auction's commitment to excellence andenthusiasm for AmeriCredit's programs have made it our No. 1 auctionin the nation."

The Auction of Excellence program is based on customer service, aswell as highest recovery rate. AmeriCredit representatives assess eachauction's performance in a variety of categories, includingorganization of sale, quality of vehicle reconditioning, dealerturnout and average recovery rate for AmeriCredit vehicles. Inaddition, they evaluate pre-sale services such as vehicletransportation and condition reports.

Tennessee Auto Auction has been recognized with a quarterlyAuction of Excellence award five times. The auction competed withother regional award recipients for this year's national honor. Theother 2005 regional winners are:

-- Midwest -- ADESA's Des Moines Auto Auction in Grimes, Iowa

-- Northeast -- Harrisburg Auto Auction in Mechanicsburg, Pa.

-- Southwest -- Lubbock Auto Auction in Lubbock, Texas

-- West Coast -- ADESA's San Diego Auto Auction in San Diego, Calif.
