Allstate Announces February Estimated Catastrophe Losses Of $145 Mln

(RTTNews) - Allstate Corp. (ALL) announced estimated catastrophe losses for the month of February 2015 of $223 million, pre-tax or $145 million after-tax.

Catastrophe losses occurring in February comprised seven events at an estimated cost of $224 million, pre-tax, partially offset by favorable reserve reestimates of prior reported catastrophe losses. Three severe winter weather/freeze events accounted for over 88% of the estimated loss for February events.

Estimated catastrophe losses for the first quarter months of January and February 2015 totaled $225 million, pre-tax or $146 million after-tax.
