ACE USA Appoints David Brosnan President, ACE Casualty Risk

    PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 22, 2005--ACE USA, the U.S.-based retail operating division of The ACE Group of Companies, announced today the appointment of David J. Brosnan to President, ACE Casualty Risk. Based in Philadelphia, Mr. Brosnan will lead the Casualty Risk operations of ACE USA. ACE Casualty Risk specializes in lead umbrella and excess liability, custom casualty, public entity, and environmental liability insurance products. Mr. Brosnan will be responsible for implementing and executing the strategic business plans for ACE Casualty Risk.

"His sharp understanding of casualty underwriting and business development, coupled with his strong leadership skills, makes David an excellent choice to lead ACE USA's Casualty Risk business strategy."
    With nearly two decades of experience in the insurance industry, Mr. Brosnan most recently served as Senior Vice President and Zone Underwriting Officer for Chubb Commercial Insurance, where he was responsible for managing all of Chubb's commercial insurance business in Europe. Prior to this role, he held various other managerial positions at The Chubb Corporation.
    Mr. Brosnan holds a bachelor of arts degree in business economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
