21Vianet Group Slips To Loss In Q3 - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - China-based 21Vianet Group Inc. (VNET) reported third-quarter net loss attributable to ordinary shareholders of 13.2 million renminbi, or $2.3million. This compares with a net profit of 11.9 million renminbi last year.

On a per share American Depositary Share, or ADS basis, net loss for the quarter was 0.24 renminbi, or $0.04. This compares with net earnings of 0.18 renminbi per ADS last year.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the quarter were 29.2 million renminbi, or $4.8 million, compared with 51.9 million renminbi in the prior year. On a per ADS basis, adjusted earnings were 0.48 renminbi, or $0.08. This compares with adjusted earnings of 0.90 renminbi per ADS a year ago.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.08 per ADS for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Net revenue for the quarter grew to 514.02 million renminbi, or $83.99 million, up from 396.06 million renminbi last year. Analysts estimated revenue of $84.35 million.

For the fourth quarter, the company expects net revenues of 540 million renminbi ($88 million) to 550 million renminbi ($90 million). Analysts estimate revenue of $93.92 million.
