Singapore Non-Oil Domestic Exports Rise 5.4%

(RTTNews) - Singapore's non-oil domestic exports growth eased unexpectedly in February, data from Enterprise Singapore showed Wednesday.

Non-oil domestic exports grew 5.4 percent year-over-year in February, slower than the 7.6 percent rise in the previous month. Meanwhile, economists were looking for a faster increase of 13.6 percent.

Exports of non-electronic products rose 3.8 percent in February from last year, moderating a 7.7 percent decline a month ago. Meanwhile, the annual growth in shipments of electronic products accelerated to 11.9 percent from 6.9 percent.

PCs, disk media products, and ICs rose by 121.4 percent, 35.7 percent, and 6.5 percent, respectively, contributing the most to the expansion in electronic NODX, the agency said.
