Denmark Retail Sales Fall In July

(RTTNews) - Denmark's retail sales declined for the first time in four months in July, figures from Statistics Denmark showed Thursday.

Retail sales dropped 0.6 percent month-over-month in July, reversing a 0.2 percent increase in the previous month. In May, sales had risen slightly by 0.1 percent.

Sales of clothing and related goods dipped 2.8 percent over the month and those of other consumer goods went down by 0.6 percent. At the same time, sales of food and other groceries showed no variations.

On an annual basis, retail sales slid 2.0 percent from June, when it climbed by 1.8 percent. It was the first decrease in six months.
