BRAZIL: Economists Raise 12-month Inflation Forecast At 4.32%

(RTTNews) - The median forecast for Brazil's consumer price inflation in the next 12 months increased to 4.32%, from 4.21% a week before, according to economists surveyed by the South American country's central bank.

For 2018, the economists increased their inflation forecast from 3.50% to 3.60%. For 2019, the forecast fell from 4.01% to 4.00%.

The annual inflation rate in Brazil rose to 2.76% in April, from 2.68% in March, but is still below the bottom of the central bank's target, which ranges from 3% to 6%.
