Texas Capital Bank Hires Corporate and Energy Banking Teams In Houston

    DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 13, 2005--Texas Capital Bank announced today that it has hired three seasoned professionals in the Houston market including one corporate banker and two energy bankers. Melanie Ottens will lead the office's Corporate Banking Group, which caters to private and public companies with annual revenues between $25-250 million. Jonathan Gregory and Richard Menchaca will co-lead the Houston Energy Group, which will focus primarily on serving the independent exploration and production market, but will also pursue other downstream energy businesses. The Texas Capital Bank Houston Region office opened in August of 2003 and is focused on serving commercial, real estate, energy and private clients in the Houston and Gulf Coast markets.

    Melanie Ottens - Senior Vice President & Manager, Corporate Banking

    Ms. Ottens is a 20-year veteran of the Houston banking market and has extensive experience working with middle-market companies, which will remain her focus at Texas Capital Bank. She is on the Board of Directors of the Women's Finance Exchange and the St. Francis Episcopal School Sports Association and is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance degree from Texas A&M University.

    Jonathan Gregory - Senior Vice President, Energy Banking

    Mr. Gregory has more than 17 years of commercial banking experience with special expertise in oil and gas lending including complex reserve-based transactions. He graduated with honors in Finance from Lamar University and is now a member of the Houston Producers' Forum and a Founding Director of Bread of Life, Inc., a local not-for-profit committed to empowering homeless Houstonians.

    Richard Menchaca - Senior Vice President, Energy Banking

    Mr. Menchaca has worked in the Texas banking market for the past 18 years and has extensive experience working with independent oil and gas producers. Richard is also a member of the Houston Producers' Forum and the Independent Petroleum Association of America. He is a graduate of SMU's Southwestern Graduate School of Banking and holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of Texas at Arlington.
    Also joining the energy team is Jeff Treadway, who will be an Assistant Relationship Manager. Mr. Treadway graduated from Texas A&M University in 2003 with a degree in Finance and Marketing and has been working with Mr. Gregory and Mr. Menchaca for the past year.
