SSE plc -- Moody's assigns (P)Baa2 rating to hybrid notes to be issued by SSE plc; negative outlook

London, 23 February 2015 -- Moody's Investors Service has today assigned a provisional (P)Baa2 long-term rating to the proposed Sterling and Euro Hybrid Capital Securities (the Hybrid) to be issued by SSE plc (SSE, A3 negative). The outlook on the rating is negative, in line with that of SSE's senior unsecured debt ratings.
