Moody's: Hedging structure amendments have no rating impact on Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena's mortgage covered bond programme

London, 23 December 2013 -- Moody's Investors Service has today announced that the amendments to the hedging structure of the residential mortgage covered bond programme of Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena S.p.A. (deposits B2 negative, BFSR E/BCA caa3 negative) will not, in and of themselves and at this time, result in a downgrade or withdrawal of the bank's current Ba1 residential mortgage covered bond ratings.
