Lexmark International, Inc. -- Moody's says Lexmark's planned acquisition of Kofax is a near term credit negative; no effect on Baa3 rating or stable outlook
New York, March 25, 2015 -- Moody's Investors Service ("Moody's") says that Lexmark International, Inc.'s ("Lexmark") announcement that it will acquire Kofax Limited ("Kofax") for total consideration of $1 billion (net of acquired cash) is strategically prudent but is a near term credit negative because of its effects on credit metrics and liquidity. The transaction does not affect the company's Baa3 rating or stable outlook.
