London, 27 March 2015 -- Moody's Investors Service, (Moody's) has today downgraded to Baa1 from A3 the senior unsecured ratings of E.ON SE (E.ON) and its guaranteed subsidiaries, E.ON International Finance B.V. and E.ON Beteiligungen GmbH. This concludes Moody's review of the ratings initiated on 1 December 2014 following E.ON's announcement of a new corporate strategy, comprising the plan to split the group into two independent companies via a spin-off of the majority of a new, publicly listed company. Concurrently, Moody's has affirmed the group's Prime-2 short-term ratings. The outlook on all ratings is stable.
