Cherkizovo Group, OJSC -- Moody's: Russian food embargo benefits limited for Cherkizovo, but may bring state support for Russian agriculture
London, 19 November 2014 -- Leading Russian meat producers such as Cherkizovo Group, OJSC may benefit from a potential rise in state support for domestic agriculture as the Russian government tries to reduce the country's dependence on food imports, says Moody's Investors Service in a new report. However, Russia's latest embargo on food imports will have only a limited positive impact for the company, which has already benefited from a veterinary ban on pork imports that has been in place since March 2014.
