Zootopia Looks Like Another Smash Hit For Disney

(RTTNews) - "Zootopia", the latest animation movie from Disney's (DIS) stable, grossed more than $73.7 million domestically on its first weekend, according to Box Office Mojo.

It's the fourth highest March opening ever and the best opening for a Disney Animation movie, better than "Frozen," which earned $67.4 million in its first weekend.

Zootopia has earned a total of $232 million in worldwide box officer up to date.

Another positive thing for Disney about Zootopia is that the film maintains a 98% score on RottenTomatoes and received an "A" CinemaScore from opening day audiences. This will help the movie to maintain a steady performance at the box office.
