Yum! Brands Q3 Profit Rises

(RTTNews) - Yum! Brands, Inc. (YUM) Tuesday reported third-quarter net income of $421 million or $0.95 per share, up from $404 million or $0.89 per share last year.

Adjusted earnings for the quarter rose to $1.00 per share from $0.87 per share last year. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of $1.07 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Total revenues for the quarter rose to $3.43 billion from $3.35 billion last year. Analysts had a consensus revenue estimate of $3.68 billion for the quarter.

Moving ahead, the company now expects full-year earnings growth to be below its target of at least 10 percent.
