Yann Vincent is Appointed Vice President, Industrial (Rolling stock) of Alstom Transport

Yann Vincent, 52, is to join Alstom Transport (Paris:ALO) on 1 September 2009 as Vice President, Industrial (Rolling Stock), reporting to Jean-Louis Ricaud, Chief Operating Officer. Prior to this, Yann Vincent was Chief Operating Officer of Russian motor manufacturer AvtoVAZ.

Yann Vincent was born in Paris in 1957. A graduate of the Paris Ecole Centrale (1980) and holder of an MBA from INSEAD (1989), he began his engineering career at Alsthom-Atlantique. In 1982, he joined Renault as a vehicle architect in the Research Department and moved on to fill various functions in Finance and Manufacturing from 1989 to 1998: Senior Manager, Management Control; Head of Financial Affairs France; then Head of IT and Financial Services and Production Manager at the Renault factory in Batilly. In 1998, Yann Vincent was promoted to Managing Director of the Renault factory in Douai. In April 2004 he became Director of the mid-range vehicle programme in the General Manufacturing and Technical Department, becoming Director of Quality in 2005 and Chief Operating Officer of AvtoVAZ in March 2008 (Renault has a 25% shareholding in this company).
